Use of SEA posters posted around center as well as loaded onto TV monitors hanging in various buildings on center to announce survey dates. We announce the survey dates to students at town hall meetings, as well as share feedback reports with them when they are available. All instructors announce in their classrooms when the survey is available and allow time each day of the survey for students to log onto their accounts to take the survey. In addition, the SPO offers merit points that students can use in the SPO store. Students show the SPO their “thank you” e-mail and can redeem the points for items in the store (Snack goodies, hygiene products, cards, notebooks, etc.). There are points for taking the survey (50 points) And then different bonus points associated with the day the survey was taken (another 50 points for taking on 1st day, 45 points, for on 2nd day, etc.)
Regular meeting and email updates on the survey time window and completion rate. Having student leaders and instructors assist students with logging in to their job corps email to access the survey.
Center staff went to each classroom and trade area to allow students a Chance to take the survey and to receive assistance in logging in. All students received a cupcake or cookie for logging into the survey. Our college students met with the counselors off site to complete the survey, receiving an additional incentive for completion. We tracked all student participation on a Google sheet that gave us daily percentages and allowed us to see who was still outstanding.
We made it a center-wide event, staff informed students about the survey, times and locations were set aside for individuals who wanted to complete the survey. We also had survey parties with pizza and snacks for the students.
Set aside time for the students during the training day to complete the survey. Had a raffle for everyone who completed it.
